History

Springville Methodist is an Independent Methodist church associated with The Foundry, a network of other Independent Methodist churches. The Methodist denomination was originally founded in 1784 by John Wesley, a clergyman and missionary of the Church of England. Over the years, numerous religious groups were founded in Great Britain, the United States and in other nations that were also based upon John Wesley’s original teachings of a rational, yet faith-based approach to scripture, a personal relationship with God and prevenient grace.
